I wouldn’t call this one a barn find per say, but it’s just so well… interesting that I couldn’t resist. This odd creations always pique my interest and this one actually looks to have been built quite well. Given that demand for 4 door Brookwood wagons isn’t particularly high, this actually seems like a good use for this one. Find this 4×4 here on eBay complete with 350 V8 and automatic transmission in Foristell, Missouri!

If I needed a 4×4, for light duty, and I like classics, this would be a home run.
Now I know that they kind of diminished the value of an old classic but I’ve got to say I love it! If I had the money I’d be all over this! I would fix things as I could and enjoy it as much as I could. I think it looks awesome!
1958 SUV. If only the manufacturers had thought of this!. I like it. If it was done properly, someday when Brookwoods are valuable it could be transformed back to original.
Certainly would make a great hunting rig and would be the envy of everyone on the deer lease.
As a big 4×4 nut I love it, being in Missouri it’s very tempting.
Its almost the size of a modern suburban.
There was the same rig in red at Sears Point this weekend.
First off there were’t many made and not a lot of survivors. The ones that did survive are getting pretty good prices! I guess the “sunshine pump” wasn’t working when this vehicle was built! The only thing worse would be to cut the top off and make a touring car!
If exposed to the elements very much, this car’s body will go quickly to a very ugly state. The rust is there, and will continue in earnest unless halted and reversed by aggressive intervention.
But I do like it, as something different. Some conversion was done a while ago. Just looking at things like the brake booster/mater cylinder lead me to believe that the car has many more non-’58 components than might be expected.
