Barn Finds reader Alan in Michigan gave me a new distraction this week when he sent in this find: a 1968 Buick LeSabre found on a website called Repocast.com. While not overflowing with vehicles, there’s enough here to compel you to dig deeper and see if there are any hidden gems among the appliances and other junk people have stopped making payments on. This LeSabre could potentially be a super low mileage find – or it could be a case of odometer roll-over. It looks clean enough to at least be a genuine survivor, with original-looking tires still in place (and cracking) and a generally unmarked interior. The body has suffered its share of dings and dents, but that’s to be expected on a land-barge like this, especially if it’s been trapped in the tight confines of a garage. Do you think it’s a sub-3,000 mile find, or just a case of a well-loved specimen?

For sure the odometer has rolled over. It has been repainted, the front seat has lots of wear, the tire wear is well over 3K and what about the engine compartment pictures?
I call BULL$HIT.
JoeyG…
I second that. Looks like bondo in the rear door where the scratch is.
Front end repainted, obvious signs of wear. Definitely a 100k rollover, bank on it. That said, it’s got good bones.
at just over $1600 some one got a good deal if it runs and drives.
Auction only lasted 30 minutes.
Over a 100 – but so what – for 1600 it’s a no brainer in this condition – how much if it were a Chevrolet?
This is a rare car now – imagine trying to find good trim pieces – that steering wheel!!!!!
Yea I figured it was a rollover 100 for sure.
Still for that price (plus applicable fees, be sure to read the fine print) it seems like a good buy. We may be seeing it on eBay? (LOL)
Repocast and other affiliated auctions usually have higher mileage later model cars and trucks, but they do get some interesting listings on occasion.
In the same auction as the Buick, there was a very rusty 240Z that sold for $575:

In an upcoming auction, there is the strangest version of a T-bucket that I have ever seen:
