BF Exclusive: Ford Survivor Stash!

62 falcon

Here’s a real barn find for you! There are three Fords in this barn and they are all very original. They have all been in the family for decades and each includes a clean title. The family farm has just sold though so the cars need to be moved right away.

The first is a 1962 Falcon. It was purchased in 1972 with only 16k miles on the inline-six engine. It now has 68k on the clock, but it is in very original condition. It’s going to need a serious cleaning, but could make an affordable project for someone.

Next up is this 1968 Galaxie. It was also purchased in 1972 and was used by the seller’s mother. It had 26k miles on the odometer then and is showing 98k today.

It is still wearing its original paint and interior. The options list included air conditioning, automatic, power steering, etc. The best feature could be the 390 V8 out front!

Finally, we have a 1977 LTD which was purchased by the family brand new. This cruiser is well-optioned and is showing 118k on the clock. It is dirty, but original too.

These cars are all located in Southeast Missouri and the owner would like to sell the cars as a package deal for $7,500. You can contact Larry L via email here if you’re interested. These cars are going to all need a lot of love, but as long as you don’t spend too much transporting them and they all clean up well, this could be a good buy.

Although they all have too many doors, they are worth the asking price, IMO.

The blue Galaxie reminds me of the one driven by Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider in the French Connection.
I think the asking price is a little strong but you never know who is looking for a deal like this. Six doors too many for me though.

I’m a fan of the low-mileage Falcon. But a 2-door would be better. Nice find.

I’s love the Galaxy – but being in the UK the cost of shipping all 3 home would kill the deal.

I think there is a lot of potential under all the bird poop and dirt. Buy all three, sell two and get some of your investment back.

Maybe my vision is worse than I thought. When I glanced at the listing I thought it said $750 which felt optimistic to me. But $7500.? The Falcon is $100. The Galaxy is $150 to 250. The LTD could bring $300 to $400. If a buyer were to tackle one, the other 2 would soon be off to St. Vinny’s.

Love sedans, would adore all three! Have no driveway space. *sigh*

All 3 will need bodywork, customized by crash. Very unusual body damage on the Falcon, does the passenger door open? Is the trunk ok or is the lock shot? Why the ’63 taillights? Fairly good pictures, but just not enough information. Any of the engines still able to start? IMO, the ask is way too high for the 3 cars and what they need.

For that kind of money it would be worth dragging them into the light for better pictures. The Falcon and maybe the Galaxie seem to be in pretty rough shape. The Falcon seems like a parts car rather than an economical project.
