Collection Of Barn Finds For Sale

1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

Reader Blake S came across a rather interesting ad here on craigslist in Nashville, Georgia. The listing includes nine American classics from the ’50s and ’60s. The seller has been accumulating barn finds for a number of years and has decided to start thinning the herd. Some are in solid shape, while others look to be rather rough. They claim some of the cars still run, but many haven’t been driven in 10+ years. The seller actually seems quite honest in their listing, but I’m not sure about their attitude. I guess when you own this many cars you don’t want tire kickers wasting your time. For the most part prices seem reasonable, although a few could be a bit lower given their condition. While I hope these cars all find good homes, I’m more interested in seeing what else is hiding in this collection and the story behind it! If anyone knows more, please share!

that 62 Electra would be sweet . would love to restore it to as it came off the line , with minimal ” improvements” just to make it more ” reliable”

Yes, the 62 Buick looks to be the best car and the best deal.

Looks like someone got a start on stripping back the ’51 Cad, but I’d really like to see the ’50. The ’51 looks pretty solid otherwise.

    I understand his attitude.
We tried to sell one of my Dad`s model t fords after he died.
I endured all kinds of low ball offers and insulting remarks.
Finally just started throwing them out when their attitudes starting getting bad.
Craigslist is full of vultures and con men looking to cheat someone.

No pics of the C-300. Too bad. All things considered, its the only car worth saving in that lot. Or should I say, it’s the only one of the bunch you could make money on. The D-500’s a mess and the 4-doors are a labor of love. The Electra could be a break even effort.

I would love a go at the big black Chrysler New Yorker straight 8. Looks like a good clean up and a polishing would just about do it after the engine and tranny are in. Great highway cruisers. Family had a ’48 New Yorker, I learned to drive in that. Slow from a red light but once it got going, oh boy.

I personally would like to have that big Buick Electra in my garage, I would bring it back as original. The price seems fair for a drop top deluxe Buick. My other choice which is not mentioned is the 50-51 Olds seen behind the Cadillac, can’t tell how many door’s it has. A two door hardtop or coupe would be sweet. Those late 40’s and early 50’s Olds are rare and getting harder to find any condition.
