Ok, so this Ford is a little older than the actual car that Mr. Miyagi gifted to Daniel, but the yellow hue instantly made me think of the Karate Kid movie. This Ford is still interesting because it was supposedly hot rodded back in the sixties with a 282 V8 from a Chevy. Air conditioning and wire wheels were also added before it went into dry storage for 30 years. Unfortunately, a tree just performed the crane kick to the top of the building that was housing the car. Well, that blow finished the match, but hopefully someone will still be able to finesse this once beautiful convertible back to its former glory. If you are ready for the challenge, this poor Ford can be found here on eBay where the auction is going to end within 24 hours. Just remember – wax on, wax off!

A full restoration would be in order for sure. During that the SBC should definitely be turfed and the proper flathead put back in. The damage, especially to the left side is extensive; there would be few shortcuts that could be taken.
Wow, that’s twisted up pretty good. I’d still rather deal with the damage, than a major rust problem. The 283 would have to go. Flathead with aftermarket goodies!
Never understood those who would sully a blue oval with a bowtie motor. Blasphemers!!!
sold for 14000
A better start than many. And you don’t see 40 Ford deluxe convertibles all the time.
Karate Kids Car is a 1946 Ford and Ralph Macchio still has it.
