Triumph Bonneville Stash

Triumph-Bonneville-stash

Looks like someone finally decided to clean out the garage and that someone just happens to be a Triumph Bonneville enthusiast! At first glance this may just look like an unfinished project, but there are actually a couple of unfinished projects here. There’s 1 complete bike, 3 frames, and a huge pile of parts. The whole lot is located in London, Ohio and can be found here on eBay where bidding is currently at $760. Thanks goes to Jim S. for the submission.

Named for the salt flats where cars and motorcycles have been trying to break records for years, the Bonneville is one of the most well-known British motorcycles in existence. The lines are classic and the 750cc engine should provide plenty of power for your own back-road speed records. We would be tempted to cherry pick the best stuff to get this one in top condition. Then we would slowly sell the rest of the parts off to help recoup our initial investment. Depending on where the reserve is set, this one might end up being free in the end…

I’ve always liked these thumpers, altho never owned one. It’s this kind of great looking deal (assuming the reserve is reasonable) that makes me wish I knew my way around them….and knew how to ride them well.

I’m guessing that some TR lover is going to scoop this “good old stuff” up.

Believe me Dolphin, if you knew anything about Triumph’s you wouldn’t be interested. I rode Triumph for years and had a big pile of parts like this too. These look to be mostly wore out parts that have been replaced and just kept the old ones. The bike and front ends are about all there is there worth anything. The rest is just junk to ship. It looks like the price is about right. They are great bikes, but the frames here are called wet frames. the large backbone tube is actually a oil tank and after sitting like this they get rusty and can cause all sorts of problems.

These are twin cylinder bikes, not single can thumpers. Looks like a great deal. I actually got into vintage motorcycles by purchasing a similar lot of early Honda cb750 parts about six years ago. This would be a great deal all the way up to 1500. If I were a masochist, uh, I mean Triumph guy, I’d jump all over this!
