150 Classics Going To Auction Pronto!

auction1

Any time I hear about a classic car auction, my ears prick up. I really wish I were in Sunland Park, New Mexico right now because there are a lot of nice cars here, most of which look like prime Barn Finds material! Thanks to Marc N. for this great find! Look at the craigslist ads here and here, and a Flickr album here (which has a lot more variety of cars than the ones chosen for the craigslist ads, from Karmann Ghia’s to Edsels) for the scant details we have at the moment. The auction is scheduled for June 5-6 and they say there are no early sales.  I’ve added some more photos to this post, tell us what you think they are!  I’m thinking Charger/Chevy/Caddy/’56 Chevy from left to right on this one; do you recognize the fake vents in the front fender of the closeup car on the left?

auction2

Here’s an old warrior!  What’s this one?

auction3

Honda (what’s that doing here?), Chevy, then two 57’s?

auction4

80’s Camaro/Firebird, 90’s Mustang, 71-73 Mustang, no idea what the one up close is, but I’ll bet some of you know it!

auction5

No clue, 55 Chevy, blue car looks like it has a Chevy hubcap?, Toronado?

auction6

Dodge? Plymouth Fury? And the one in the front is a kit car made to look like a Mercedes SSK. So tell us what you see in these pictures and the other ones on the site. And if you go to the auction, let us know how it turns out!

I had, and loved a ’69 T-bird 4 door (suicide doors). I wish I had not seen the ’69 2 door T-bird. I am going to have to bid on it!

It is interesting to see a bunch of 2 door sedans. When is the last time you saw a 59 Chevy 2 door or the blue and white Ford. There is some kool iron there.
Anybody know what the small dark blue car is at just about the end of the Flickr pictures is? There is also a shot part way through just past the white 4 door Chevy.
It sorta looks like a shortened Cortina.
Interesting that the ad says no early sales and the red 59 chevy 4 door is sold
I’d take the ’46 black pick-up or the ’60 black and white chevy pick-up. Maybe a 54 2 tone green wagon or the Rambler wagon next to the T-Bird.
Glad I’m not in the area or there would be one more person there.
    Thanks for the post.

Hey Randy, I may be able to save you… I know where there is a ’69 suicide door car, has been sitting indoors for many years. It’s overall pretty good, very solid, though would need some love. Originally maroon with white top and interior, now black with white top and interior… The owner would like it to go to someone who loves it as it was a close friend’s car. It’s in Colorado. Hit me up :)

The mustard car in your photo #4 in this post is the first in the flickr album, a ’73 Buick Centurion convertible. Photo #5, car with the 7″ Keystone mag looks like a ’62 Falcon coupe; the blue car with the wheelcover looks like a ’63 Tempest. Photo #6, early 60s Dodge Power Wagon and ’70 Plymouth convert. The white car could be an Excalibur SS, but more likely a VW based kit car. Kenzo, there were a couple of dark blue cars, one was a customized 70 Dodge, another was a ’69 LTD convert, but maybe you meant the ’50-’51 Plymouth? The only shortened car I saw was a ’60 Ford, likely a Custom 300, maybe a Fairlane. Gotta tell my brother about the ’65 Impala.

That little blue one in the two shots looks early 60’s British or French, not shortened anything, almost Triumph except the 5 lug rims. Short fins, maybe Renault? Rag tops are always interesting to me, even more so when they only have two seats!
Glad I’m nowhere near this place, love for a first hand account though, with more pictures, of course.

@Keruth, I think the little blue one is the ’60 Ford that’s been shortened that Scottmac mentions above.
