The Model A was a versatile machine and was just at home on dirt roads as it was on pavement. This Murry bodied A is even called a Town and Country! The seller claims it was parked in a barn for 40 years, but it looks to be in good shape for its age. Apparently, it was kept in the same family until the seller bought it. Since purchasing it, they have given it a good cleaning, a tune up, and have gotten it back on the road. They claim it runs great and that the Model A club couldn’t believe how well it ran considering how long it had been parked. It goes to show Ford really built these cars to be able to handle the punishment of country life! Very nice looking car , don’t know the value of these cars but I can picture me driving it with a tommy gun laying on the seat next to me. There’s a guy that comes to our cruise in Liberty, Mo. that has a tutone blue one that he has a replica tommy gun laying in the back seat. These are just cool cars. It’s nice that it runs and stops so well after all these years.
I really like this old “A” , especially the pinstripes and the motometer ( temp. gauge ) .
My father ( 1914-1996 r.i.p. ) could tell the year model and murray or briggs body with a mere glance.
I think the radiator shell and headlight housings will clean up. Crack in the right front fender
can be repaired without it being too obivious.
Hopefully the new owner will keep it as original as possible .
If somebody turns this into a rat rod, I vote they should be shot.
I vote for shooting also.
