This 1965 Mustang came from the factory with a 289 and manual transmission and has been sitting since 1989. There’s not much info in the craigslist ad except that it’s got rust in all the usual places. At $1,800 or best offer, it seems pretty reasonable though. Do you think this Mustang might be worth restoring or will it just be used for parts? If it was a fastback it might have more of a chance, of course.

What Chris in WNC says. I personally like the look of the notchback coupes better than the fastbacks. The notchbacks were the originals and they were designed to an idea. To me, the fastbacks look like just what they are — cobbled roofs grafted onto the bodies of what would have otherwise been pretty, well-proportioned notchbacks.
parts car , whats the story on the bronco ??
I remember going to a car auction in the nineties and they had a Mustang, similar year and model restored with new paint and interior and they were struggling to get $4200 out of it……
I say buy it for the parts, rebuild the motor for another project Mustang, use what parts can be used and scrap the rest.
