It’s hard to appraise this car without actually seeing it. My advice is to check it out in person, if not possible, then hire a expert appraiser before buying it. Doesn’t matter anymore if the 289 was better. It’s a 50 year old car. If it’s in good shape and all original, then it’s worth it.
