1966 Cadillac: Rusty Metal For A Good Cause

1966 Cadillac

Ok, I admit, it’s not a thing of beauty. But starting at $10 with no reserve (no, that’s not a typo) and benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, this massive Caddy is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and is offered here on eBay. The Caddy has been stationary for 11 years and there’s obviously a lot of work to do. The interior is pretty bad, and there’s both trim missing and some rust. However, at no reserve and with a car weighing 5,000 pounds, how can you lose? Even at low scrap metal prices, that’s around $500, and just think about what you could do with the 429 cubic inch V-8! I’m not sure my trailer could stand the weight, though. Anyone out there willing to buy some heavy metal for a good cause?

An awful amount of work needed and they’re not commanding enough, when fit, to justify the investment, IMO….
Same seller has the convertible next to it for sale too…..Same opinion…IMO….

Benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project? Only sort-of… Seller is “donating” 1% of the sale price through eBay to the WWP; as of this moment that’s a $2.00 contribution. The car is not even a good parts car candidate as far as I can see, but I’m not standing next to it to judge.

That means the wounded would get about 50 cents. WWP has a very high employee costs.

Seller says it has a 472 engine which means it had a engine change. Don’t think not being matching numbers hurts this car.

If it wasn’t over 1000 miles away I would big on that. The Patina is gorgeous!

White with white leather, that was once a real pretty car.

With the grill missing it looks like an angry bird. Or an angry old man.

I would be more interested in the 1961 Mopar next to it.
