1967 Volkswagen Bus: Dusty Type 2

1967 Volkswagen Bus

Over the weekend, I visited a junkyard in rural Massachusetts and found a row of Volkswagen Microbuses of different configurations stacked next to each other. When you see them together, it’s amazing to see how many different ways one could order their VW Bus. It could be a camper or a delivery van, a pickup or a combination of a few different features, incorporating easy-access panel doors and lots of glass for natural daylighting. No matter what, the early ones are starting to pick up price-wise and I’ll bet there are a lot of interested buyers for this 1967 example found in all its dusty, barn-find glory here on craigslist in San Diego here on Stokes Auction as part of an upcoming estate sale in Poulsbo, Washington. I can’t tell much from the photos but talk about properly staging an antique vehicle that’s been fetching big numbers at auctions! This one does appear to be a genuine as-discovered specimen, however, which makes me wish I stuck one in a garage about 10 years ago. What do you think it will go for?

      NOT GONE !

Flagged only means a lot/some of people ‘flagged’ it, because they did not want others to see it.

I’ve noticed a lot of people asking about my Type 2 vehicles.
The market is very competitive and a the prices are getting way up there for even a poor condition vehicle to be rebuilt.
Next post might explain why it was flagged:
somebody posting it to test the market ?
Even when they don’t own it ?

So you can see the vehicle in the listing?

You’re saying “gone’ like in ‘sold’ whereas merely the listing had been pulled .
        Not exactly the same thing.
I thought I’d clarify that for you.
And neither did I say I see the listing, did I ?

Of course you can reply that you meant the listing is gone, in which case I completely agree.
I thought we’re talking about the cars here….

Actually, I am here for the cars, so not sure why you feel the need to jump down my throat. I said “gone” not “sold”. Please don’t troll me thank you.

        …talk about trolling.
What again was your point in your very first post ?

Read this about a well known to the VW community scam artist. He is responsible for many CL and eBay scam ads.

Is this somehow related or are you posting because it is VW related. If the latter, that is thoughtful but you should be clear as to avoid unfair negative connotation.

I posted it because most of the too good to be true VW’s are scams. The pictures are lifted from other ads, The Samba and eBay. And AA is behind a ton of them.

Bobsmyuncle, this is at an Estate Sale Live Auction. No set prices until the day of the sale. Goes to the highest bidder

So, was the scam notice just a warning, or did this scam artist lift the photos from the auction site and offer the sale of this bus on his own Craigslist ad?
