1969 Jeepster: Droptop Off Roader

1969 Jeepster

If the Fiats we featured earlier aren’t quite up your alley, but you still want a quirky convertible this Jeepster might be worth a look. The seller claims it is a one previous owner car that has been in barn storage for a number of years. They now have it running and driving, but they admit it needs a tune up and some work. It has some great looking patina and would make for an awesome warm weather cruiser! And with a V6 and four wheel drive, it could even be used for some off road fun too. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles California with a BIN of $4,700. Special thanks to Jamie P for this tip!

I owned one of these in the early 70s, the WORST car I ever owned. The buick V6 burned valves, the heater couldn’t heat it in the winter, nothing but trouble. My tombstone will say “he only owned one jeep!”

Clearly Jeep’s failed effort to reviive the late 40s early 50s Jeepsters which were great vehicles. The “orignals” were just old Army Jeeps with spiffy nice bodies. Never cared much for the Buick-powered ones.

JEEP- Junk. Each. Every. Part. Ya, I know it’s an old one. I’ve never had a Jeepster, but know someone who has. He hasn’t had another Jeep/AMC or even Chrysler since. I think they’re kind of neat. I try not to bring it up around him.
