327/4-Speed: 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

The seller of this Corvette has owned it for nearly 40 years, during that time they’ve kept it as a nice driver. It looks great throughout, but the seller is moving and has decided to part ways with it rather than transporting it. If you’d love to give this 67k mile Corvette a good home, you can find it here on craigslist in Sonoma, California with a $75,000 asking price.

We don’t get a look at the engine or any word on its spec, but we are told it’s a small block. That would make it a 327, which was offered with either 300 or 350 horsepower. It’s likely the 300 horse model but add in the fact that it’s paired to a 4-speed manual and it should be plenty of fun. It’s also equipped with side pipes, so it will sound great while you are out cruising, just watch make sure to wear pants to avoid burning your legs getting out. It would be great to have a look at the engine and to know more about its condition. If you look closely, you can see that there’s an oil tray under the car to catch oil leaks, so it might need some work.

We do get a glimpse of the interior and it looks to be in great shape. The white interior looks great with the Nassau blue paint, it might just be my favorite Corvette color combos. We don’t know if the car has been restored or not, but it sure looks to be in amazing condition. The seller does tell us that they’ve redone the suspension and the brakes recently.

I really do love the looks of this Corvette. The color combo is great and it appears to be in good shape. The asking price seems high given the lack of photos and information, but if it’s as nice as it appears it might just be worth it. So, what do you think? Would you hit the street in this Corvette?

No engine or underside pictures, no indication if the engine and tranny are what came in the car. Seller is leaving a few holes there for the price. It looks pretty good overall for the age but would still require some on-sight inspection to insure what you’re getting IMO.

$75K, four lousy pictures and no useful information given in the ad. Apparently the seller doesn’t want to sell it real bad.

Beautiful car. $75K? Ad says numbers match but the price is a tad high even it is 350hp. As said above the seller is either lazy or doesn’t care if it sells.

FYI, the covers on the sidepipes keep you from getting burned. I have one never an issue.

I agree. Also the comment about sounding nice while cruising is correct…for about the first 50 miles. Then it gets to be a nuisance…especially with a big block (which this car is not).

I put about 150 miles on my ’66 427 coupe last saturday.the side pipes are what it’s all about! Original (as in never replaced pipes), love the sound. You do have to be careful, even the covers get pretty hot.

The oil drip pan is not encouraging! Why not pull the car out of the garage to take the pictures in natural light?

    Love the original wheel covers!

I had side pipes on my 65 vette and 69 vette. The heat also rolls up the side of the door at traffic lights or in heavy traffic. This 327 coupe is a much nicer car to drive ans handle instead of the heavy big block 396 or 427 corvette.

I was behind a ’65 Coupe in a very similar color just about an hour ago.
The driver was out enjoying a nice sunny NH fall day, was pulling into a Drive-In restaurant for some ice cream.

It was great to see one out on the road being enjoyed, an increasingly rare sight.
