4,209 Original Miles: 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

One thing I’m always excited to see from our readers is when they submit a listing for a non-mainstream platform, something other than eBay or craigslist. Why? Well, sometimes there are some hidden gems that may represent a great deal because there’s less competition than one of the more visible platforms. This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is a desirable manual transmission example with just over 4,000 original miles. It’s listed here on HiBid.com in Indiana with bids to $6,750. Thanks to Barn Finds reader Mark S. for the find.

The fourth generation Camaro is a bit under-appreciated in the marketplace right now. The third generation cars are definitely getting some love, but the middle 90s models are still pretty cheap if you’re looking for an automatic, V8-equipped car. The manual transmission models are surprisingly hard to find and sought after when they do pop up, but I still think they represent a tremendous value compared to a nicely-optioned C4 Corvette.

This Camaro is surprisingly well-equipped, with nicely preserved leather seats inside. While red over black is the best combo, there’s nothing wrong a tan leather interior in mint condition. Throw in the fact that this is a time-warp, low mileage car and you don’t even have to worry about excessive soiling like you might in a driver-quality example with higher miles. No cracks on the dash suggest this Camaro was garage-stored, but that doesn’t mean it was all roses when it was acquired from the previous owner.

What I mean by that is the listing describes some maintenance work that is associated with a car coming out of long-term storage. A new gas tank was installed, new injectors, a fresh fuel pump, replacement fuel filter, and a new battery all suggest that this Camaro was parked for some time and didn’t move much. With the fuel system completely updated and the charging system charing, this should be a reliable collector car for some time to come that will only gain in value in the years to come.

Told my wife I’m planning to bid. She was fine with that until I mentioned the mullet I plan to grow to give me street cred. She already tossed my 1980’s football pics

Fast cars, test drove one like this, and compared to my stock 88 foxbody Ford , i was impressed.
These Chevs look best in black or silver paint. IMO.

Had a 94Z28 6 speed I bought new December 1993, put 249,000 miles on her before finally having to sell it. New Clutch at 190K, Tranny at 198K, numerous Optisparks/Waterpumps (had 2 spares included when I sold her) Got it with manual locks/windows but with a power seat, put a 1LE air intake, front anti-roll bar, Hurst Shifter, great car.

Don’t see a lot of these with leather and hand crank windows.
