I’m used to cars being priced this low being solely parts cars, but this 1955 Oldsmobile 88 might be the exception. For only $799 plus shipping or pickup expenses, this “beauty” can be yours. While there’s a lot of surface rust, there’s very little rust-through, at least in the pictures we can see. Even the glass looks intact. I’ve got to believe there’s more than $800 worth of value here! It’s located in Flintville, Tennessee and is listed for sale here on eBay.

This is the worst angle for the car. The seller mentions bringing two tires with you when you go to pick it up due to two flats. I’m not sure that front wheel qualifies as a flat! Obviously, there are some components missing and the seller tells us they don’t have them. Maybe this was a parts car for trim?

The license plate dates from 1969, so this Olds has been off the road for a long, long time. The seller also mentions that the car will be sold with a bill of sale, not a title, so factor that into your potential issues and costs as you think your way through this project. It will be interesting to see if the low pricing can overcome the issues and cause someone to take the plunge. I’m reminded of me at 9 years old with $98 to my name and the local Ford dealer having a row of “undesireables” at $98 each in the local paper. My father intelligently would not let me buy one of them (but helped me pick up my first Austin-Healey at 12, so I’m not complaining!)

Naturally, at this price the interior isn’t much. However, the seller says all but one switch is in place, and the floor doesn’t look bad at all (although we don’t know what’s under the carpet remnants).
