BF AUCTION: 1974 Pontiac Firebird 350 4-Speed

SOLD!

Here’s another Firebird! This one may not seem as special as some of the others we currently have at auction, but it originally came from Texas so it has less corrosion and that’s always a good thing. It’s also a runner so it can be enjoyed right away. This is a Barn Finds exclusive auction so be sure to take a look.

We all want a SD-455, but if the budget won’t stretch that far, the 350 will do. Plus you could always take some of the money you saved and buy a few upgrades. This one was ordered with dual exhaust so a 4-barrel intake and carb could work wonders here.

By the time this Firebird was built, most American cars came with automatic transmissions. So the 4-speed is what makes this one special. It would allow you to keep the revs up in the powerband so you can squeeze as much of the juice out of that little engine as possible.

This Firebird may seem pretty basic if you compare it to some of the other ones we have featured lately. It doesn’t have a huge engine or any wild flares (those taillights are pretty sweet though). That doesn’t mean it won’t provide almost as much fun though. If you’re interested, be sure to look through the photo gallery here, leave your questions in the comments section, and place your bids below.

I’m actually kind of burned out by all of this collection being sold at once and appearing in my feed, the Lemans included. But I do love first and second gen Firebirds! This white car reminds me of the “back lot” Firebirds I use to seek out, because as had been said nobody wanted a stick, 350 mill, and base interior. I’d be a bidder for this one if I wasn’t swimming in projects already.

The seller has detailed the car and uploaded new photos so be sure to check those out.

I kind of liked it without the stripe embellishment on the side and trim rings. It was rough and ready. Bet the detailing adds zeros to the price! Can’t help the faded tan plastic on the door panels, glovebox and seatbelt retainers. This dried out within five or six years from production.

1975’s came with single exhaust due to the catalytic converter

I remember some cars during that time came with a fake dual exhaust. After the single catalytic converter, it would spread out to dual, what a joke.

And because this is a 1974 it will not have a catalytic converter

What did this sell for as I made an offer and never saw any feedback on it or have seen the sold price.

It’s a shame, I just saw this car, it’s what I’ve been looking for. I’d have paid a lot more than $13k for that beauty.
