Brass Era Beaut: 1912 Buick Model 29 Touring

1912 Buick Model 29 Touring

So, does a 103 year old car that was restored in the 70s qualify as a barn find? Oh heck, I don’t need to justify it! This car deserves some press if for nothing more than the fact that it is plain cool. Well, that and the seller’s excellent video. Check out the footage of the external valve train working away! Anyway, it may be restored, but the previous owner used to make annual voyages from Portland to Reno in order to attend the Harrah’s Auto Collection Swap Meet. That’s over 1,000 miles round trip! That had to be a tough trip, but the seller does mention that this thing can somehow hit 60 mph! I doubt any Buick was that quick back in 1912. It may not fit the mold around here, but I have a feeling everyone will enjoy checking out this brass era Buick. Find it here on eBay where bidding is over $25k with about a day left.

Lower that thing, slap some 22s on it and a small block Chevy in it and get all that brass chrome plated. :-)

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it could hit 60 on good roads. Don’t underestimate the beast under the hood, it might not be as refined s were used to, but it would still move. You might want to fold the windshield flat and put on some goggles though. Great car!
