Imagine opening a large door on a pole-barn and seeing this sight. A 1958 Pontiac Bonneville, forgotten by all but its owner. This is your chance to have a quintessential “barn find” ’50s car and you can find it here on eBay in Westlake, Ohio. Let’s look a little closer!
You had to jimmy the latch, because it’s been shut for more than a few years, and the elements have taken their toll on the metal hasp. With some effort, the old, wooden door creaks and groans, as if to complain that you’re disturbing its complacent slumber, but it grudgingly gives up and moves out of the way for you. Inside, you see a 1958 Pontiac Bonneville underneath decades of dust and “I’ll put that away properly later” and “It’d be a shame to throw that out, I can use that” odds and ends.
So, let’s look at this one a little closer. The seller alludes to the idea that its last registered owner is either deceased or incapacitated, and the seller is clearing out the estate on their Grandfather’s behalf. We are told that it hasn’t been registered or driven since the 1980s and is missing a few body parts. On the plus side, the drivetrain is apparently present, and at the time of writing this, the first 16 bids have only gotten to $4500, with 5 days remaining.
I know that these were one-year-only and that convertible variants were rather low-production models. Even without a title, and needing every aspect of restoration, it’s probably worth every penny, be it parted out or resurrected. What do you, the readers, think?

The only thing that could’ve made the car any better is if it were fuel injected.
Guys, you DO know that eBay will choose another similar car for you when the link for the one you’re interested in becomes inactive. “See original listing” is the button you push to find this one again. Curious, it says it was only bid to $500 and the auction was ended because the car is no longer available.
The one extra photo on eBay shows what presumably is this car when with all of it’s body parts and was quite a looker! But an old faded newsprint photo of the car does not foretell what the hell happened to it in the intervening years.
If you really want to sell it, take all the sh*t off it. Lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy sellers.

Seller stated fenders and door were stolen. WTH? I vote this to be the strangest and most useless ad on fleabay I have ever seen. Hopefully he took it off Fleabay to find the missing fenders and door.
Reminds me of my ’64 Pontiac Sport Coupe…(I’m embarrassed to admit…). I put new tires on it, had the 389 rebuilt and drove it into one of my garages. Put it on blocks, and there she has sat…since 1986. Life has truly gotten in the way. My kids didn’t even realize that there was a car out there. :( So, I am the first one to drool over these barn finds…then I realize, I’m not even taking care of what I’ve got… I wonder how many other’s of us, are guilty of the same…?
