We know a “find” is special when more than one person sends it in. This one came in from Fred W and Sam R. Apparently, the seller’s family has been in the car business since the 40s. His grandfather started the Kaiser Willys dealership in Lisbon, Ohio and his father ran it after that. A few gems were stashed along the way including some interesting Willys and Kaisers, and even a 1923 Stanley Steamer! The cars have been sitting inside since the 90s. With the auctions going on down in Arizona, the family has decided that it might be a good time to sell a few. The seller claims that they can’t afford to have them shipped down there so they are going to try craigslist instead… Well, that might mean there are some deals to be had here. If I had the spondulix to spare, I’d be on my way to grab either of the Kaisers instead of typing a comment. Don’t know much about the Specials — they were the low-price models — but Manhattans were nicely trimmed, comfortable and very reliable.
Were I to get one, it would be my fourth. From the past three, wish I still had my ’52 Manhattan, originally owned by a Kaiser mechanic (I was the second owner) and in superb original condition. But when you’re young, the “grass is greener” philosophy applies, and I sold it to make room for my Honda 600. Yeah, I was not too bright….

The Jeepster is my choice. The older I get the more they appeal to me. The Kaisers are nice cars but they aren’t as attractive (to me) as the Jeepster.
Amazing find. The Willys Burmuda for me – great two-tone colour.
I want the Overland touring car. I plan to drive the Lincoln Highway from East to West in a period car. The 1917 Overland would be the perfect time machine.
I don’t know why they list cars that are not for sale. IMO they are keeping the two I’d be most interested in: the Darrin and the Willys Roadster in that order. Out of the others I guess I’d like the Bermuda most for its rarity.
And give up your dreams of driving the Stanley steamer anywhere. You have to stop every 15-20 miles to fill up on water…
I remember seeing a Willys hardtop with a Caddy engine with 2 4s. It was in a junk yard near Colorado Springs. i don’t know if the gave up on it or there were other problems. It looked good.
