Eight Mustangs For $2,000!

8 Mustangs

Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it’s true, but each of the eight Mustangs offered here have been sitting out in the woods for the past 30 years! So, each is rusty, rough, and incomplete. There are a few GTs and even a convertible in there though, so if you could find a cheap way to transport them all, it might be worth the $2,000 investment. Some spare fenders and bumpers are included too so I’m sure you could recoup your money by just parting out a couple of the cars. I could think of worse ways to burn two grand, so if you are anywhere near Martinsville, Indiana, you might want to take a look at this Pony Package here on eBay.

I see nothing salvageable here, some sitting on the ground w/o tires/wheels ( completely rotted frames??) you might be able to salvage a dash or two

in the last picture with the fenders it appears to be the tail end of a midsize Ford wagon. Now that could be interesting if it has air it the tires to keep it off the ground. As for the Mustangs. I think it would be tough to recoup your 2k investment and all the shipping costs by parting them out then disposing of the leftovers. I didn’t see one worth keeping.
Gonna check back to see if it really sells. Only 19 hrs to go.

“I like Mustangs a lot, so I’m buying up a bunch of them.
    I’ll surely restore ’em someday”.

    20 years later…..

“Well now they’re all rusted, I can’t restore ’em the way I wanted….

Heck, now that there’s Ebay I’ll just sell the whole bunch all at once.

    I want them gone NOW”.

Some without sheet metal look like the unibodies are bent. What a waste to let them sit for so long.

Once again, a model-specific car hoarder with a bunch of goodies to sell. I’m always of two minds about these people–on the one hand, I suspect they’re unhinged somehow, and on the other hand, I’m glad they preserved the cars (so to speak) rather than feeding them to the crusher. Mustangs, Camaros, E-bodies, Corvairs, Beetles, you name it, we’ve seen them all in rusty clusters in the back 40, waiting for…what?
The problem is that the rust clock is ticking on all of these ’60-’70s era cars, and a lot of them are on the verge of rejoining the earth as iron oxide. These Mustangs certainly fit in that category. Are they worth $2,000 plus shipping? I would want to see them in person.

I love the comments , especially the ones that rip the sellers apart because in many cases they are the ones that got the “hoarder ” to finally sell. I have met alot in the past that simply saved the cars from the crusher and sold them off to better homes only to be bashed in the process .As far as nothing left I don’t agree I have been buying “the ones beyond hope” for years and stocked my salvage yard with them, a non crush yard and have saved others in return with the parts they had. Lets also keep in mind in the 90’s how many yards simply disposed of the old stock and thank god people hung on to some

Years ago, my dad had that same idea of the no-crush junkyard. He hated to see so many good parts be fed into the crusher. I’m glad to read that others are following through on the idea. And you’re right, there’s a lot of parts that can be harvested from even the most hopeless-looking hulks. One of our friends owned a storage yard, and he offered me the carcass of a ’65 Mustang fastback that had been burned in return for the towing charge ($35). The car was ruined from the engine bay to the back seat, but I salvaged an amazing amount of parts, including–surprisingly–the gas tank. So you can’t write these sad-looking wrecks off–but $2,000 is rather a large bite, so definitely, a in-person inspection is a must.
