What Makes It Special? This is a true survivor in excellent condition. All components, including the optional radio, heater and turn signals are included and working. It is, to best of our knowledge, a two owner car. All history is documented and included. There is no rust or damage anywhere. The car starts right up and drives amazingly well for a 70 plus-year-old car. The interior is totally original, however, it is in excellent condition and is very usable. Always garage kept and well cared for.
Body Condition: There is no rust or body damage anywhere. All chrome and trim are in good condition with no corrosion or damage. All trim, hubcaps, and glass are attached and included. The glass is in good condition. The paint is thin in areas and some original primer shows. It is excellent for a 79-year-old car.
Mechanical Condition: The engine has been rebuilt and starts and runs like new. The engine compartment is very clean and unmolested. Everything is original and working. The engine is a 322 CI. 120 HP flathead. The tires are very serviceable however not sure of their age.

This is nice. It’s probably not an investment for flippers but then the only time I ever made money on a car was after my 77 Buick Regal was totaled and the person at faults insurance paid off nearly twice what I paid for the car.

No, this is a beautiful car, but I agree, its time has past. Get what you can from it, and find value in knowing that the great deal you gave someone brought them pleasure, not profit. This was like a Cuda is today, 35 years ago, pure gold, but those WW2 vets are long past breathing, much less driving. Same thing we are going to find with Cuda prices 10 or 20 years from now when my whole generation is laying cold and still. Oh, the rare stuff will still command big bucks as collectibles and investments for the 1%, but the majority of the (ever shrinking) middle class who has supported the majority of the prices will no longer exist the market for most of these cars will evaporate.

Well, this is a car I’ve always lusted for, and HEY! It’s only one year older than I am! What’s this crap about “Past its time?” I will admit that I am no longer as willing to buy a one-way plane ticket and figure on driving it home to California as I would have been thirty years ago …
I assume that the remarks about its “worth” have something to do with the market, which I have always considered to be kinda beside the point … and that is possibly another indicator of my age, but so what? If I love a car it’s about the car, not any “investment.”
For most of us if we really thought about it cars are a poor investment. So it needs to be about the car and the time spent using it otherwise what’s the point of having it.

I have made money on exactly one car, and have recently given one away … but it was originally free. To me it’s always been about how nice they were to drive, or otherwise satisfactory. Recently saw a Wheeler Dealer video about the guys searching for and fixing up a BMW 2002, and absolutely hated the ending, when they sold it! I would have at least had some fun with it first!
