EXCLUSIVE: 1965 Corvette Coupe 365HP Survivor!

Just finding a 1965 Corvette Coupe with the 365 horsepower 327 V8 and a 4-speed in any condition is an amazing thing, but finding one that is in nice all original condition is downright incredible! Well, reader Daniel L happened to find and purchase this beautiful Corvette from its second owner, who cared for it for 49 years! Daniel has shown it and enjoyed it, but has decided to let someone new have fun with it. So, if you’d love to give this amazing survivor a new home, you can find it in St. Peter, Wisconsin with a $60,000 asking price and you can message him via the form below!

The body and paint look to be in fantastic shape. According to Daniel, the body is in great condition throughout. The paint is nice and glossy and I don’t see any signs of damage or cracking. It looks fantastic with the side pipes and even the base wheels look great with the red paint. Daniel is confident that the car is truly an all original and unrestored car. Even if it has been restored, it looks to be a pristine example of a very desirable Corvette.

We get a good look at the interior, which looks to be in the kind of condition you’d expect a 74k mile survivor to be in. It isn’t perfect, but it’s nice and usable. The steering wheel rim is showing some cracks and the carpet is showing it’s age a bit. Overall, this interior appears to be in great shape though. The seats look great, the dash is nice and everything is said to work.

Here’s the 327 V8 in all of its 365 horsepower glory! All of the correct pieces are here, including the ignition shield and the original chrome 4-barrel carb cover. It’s paired to the original 4-speed manual, which adds value and makes it much more fun to drive. Daniel is confident that you can jump into this Corvette, turn the key and go!

This Corvette is ready for you to get in and drive! That isn’t something you can always do with a survivor, but all the work has already been done to make it ready for the road. So, if you’ve been on the hunt for a Corvette survivor, this could be the one for you! Take a closer look and be sure to contact Daniel with questions and offers!

Likely it has been repainted considering the extra lights that were added to the rear of the car…

Very nice car, but I would be hesitant to throw the words “all original” around when there’s an obvious body mod (the extra tail lights.)

I don’t post this to disparage the car or it’s owner, since it’s a lovely machine and I wish him all the luck in having a good sale.

But accuracy of language is important, especially when trying to sell a collectable car. Its value is very much tied into its history.

Looks to sit to high particularly for original springs.

Love it except for the goofy “Impala” tail light treatment.

Back in “the day” it was fairly common to see additional tail lights added, starting with the 1961 model’s through the 1967’s. Cool back then, not so cool now!

I like it, appears to be a pay and drive vehicle. Biggest problem is the same one I have with so many C2’s: the money. It’s a gorgeous car from what I can see but you’re talking C8 pricing here. If you want it and have the $$, great. If not, for about $10K or so less you can be in a new C7 or for about the same $$ ultimately be in a C8.
I’d give my eye teeth to have it (even with the extra tail lights) but it’s too rich for my blood.

Definitely would of behooved to fill the extra lights in and had paint touched up,
When one dies that mod it makes one wonder on all other pieces of cR Nd engine hav been touched Up.

Best small block ever, this and the z28 302 as I recall it had double hump marked heads. I bought a marine crate version, opposite rotation, changed, rotation and put it in a 58 vett. Those were the days pre smog.

Personally, I like the triple tail lights, especially if done at the dealership when new. If so, I’d be glad he left as is.

The whitewalls need to be lost immediately. At least it’s a manual…

I have to agree with others here, I too think it’s been repainted. You might be able to add a third tail lamp without repainting the car, but it’s pretty hard to remove the crossed flags nose emblem, without filling the holes and repainting. The car seems to be sitting high, leading me to believe the springs have recently been replaced?

It’s definitely a nice car, but I really wish the seller had included more and better pictures, and more details, about the car.

Good luck to seller, and the next owner.

The fender wells were all cut.

Tail lamps could have been a dealer add on and the suspension has been altered to lift the car too much IMHO. The crossed flag nose emblem has been removed for some strange reason, holes filled, and car certainly been repainted, all of which are no big deal, replace the nose badge and fix the suspension. However, the cut fender wells are a big deal and a hard no for me. I think there are some other changes, maybe not deal breakers, but it is NOT all original and should not be advertised as such.
