EXCLUSIVE: 1966 Chevrolet C-10 Step Side

Gorgeous 1966 Chevy C10, 4 year old frame off restoration of a California rust free truck. 355 V8, Turbo 400 automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, rear drums. All new chrome bumpers, grill, mirrors etc. Truck runs and drives great. New tires and aluminium dual exhaust. Turn key truck needs nothing.

Odometer shows 461 miles at listing but true miles are not known. Just watched a very rough outlaw truck sell on eBay for $49,900.00 This is a lot more truck for less money. Entire truck painted with Imron paint and is slick and straight as it gets, show quality. We are a dealer in Ohio and are required to collect sales tax for Ohio, Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, and South Carolina. Clear title in hand.

It might not be a survivor, but this Chevy truck sure looks beautiful! I’d love to cruise around town in it, although I’d be scared of damaging that paint. Special thanks to Hank for listing his C10 with us! And if you have a classic that needs a new home, please consider listing it here on Barn Finds!

$30,000. In cash stashed in the box in the bed makes it a fair deal . …… Front of engine needs attention , looks like blown gaskets .

The man who painted this truck is a retired Ohio Power electrician. I am sorry but know body paints like this guy. He painted my 65 Suburban and 61 Bird. He is an amazing talent and this truck,s paint is fantastic. My Suburban and T Bird are concours quality cars.

I don’t get why some are bashing this? This is the nicest ’66 C10 I’ve ever seen. Somebody knew ( or had the cash) what they were doing. Don’t worry, someone in California, where clearly, $20 dollar bills must blow in the gutter, will buy this. Very, VERY nice truck.

A few wire looms and a little time and that engine compartment will look great. On Imron, if that’s the 2 part epoxy paint I remember, that stuff is tough as nails once it’s dry. Long time ago a friend had a drag car paint with that from what I remember. Right before a weekend of racing one of his sponsors pulled out. He took a rag soaked in nitromethane and wiped the lettering for that sponsor right off the side of the car and it didn’t even take the shine off the Imron. He said you had to use a full respirator setup when painting it as the fumes were deadly (I never had the guts to try it though).
That is one nice looking pickup.

It IS a nice looking truck,, I love this body style,,I have a 65 GMC long bed version, and we call ours the “Old Grey mare” as its in need of paint,, but these are great trucks. The engine bay on this annoys me & my OCD issues, but thats a minor issue. Wont comment on the price,, seems aggressive but that might be what its worth.
But this style are rapidly climbing in value,,so I cant say. My buddy from Germany bought one of this style here in Oregon, a rough but running example and shipped it back to Germany stuffed full of vintage Motorcycles. He resold the truck at a German swap meet, (Vetterama) and people went nuts over it.

Who called it a “nasty old truck”?!?!?! While the “Negativity Crew” piped up and had throw their strictly personal opinions out, I don’t see where it was called “nasty”.
Personally I think it looks fantastic!!! I know nothing of pricing so I will not comment towards that. I am a truck flare/stepside guy so this really resonates with me!! Speaking of resonate – I bet this thing sounds unbelievable!!!!
(I also think the old woody boat in the 2nd to last pic is stunning, I will own one of that style one of these days – unfortunately today isn’t it)

Hi and thanks, truck runs drives and sounds great. No it’s not nasty, it’s very nice and someone is going to get one heck of a nice cruiser. This truck was built for driving. I guess I was just poking fun at the armchair quarterbacks. I am amazed at the people who go out and buy a new $50k auto and at the end of 4 years there lucky if that 50k is now $10k. This truck is a great investment and will give you years of fun and a profit at the end if you take care of it. BTW, none of the negative nellies have made an offer so they probably aren’t the buyers anyway. Thanks for your support.

Nice truck. I especially like the refrigerator magnets on the ceiling of the cab. Seriously, this is a nice truck but the oil leak from the differential needs to be fixed and whatever is causing the brown stain at the front of the motor. Maybe it’s the power steering pump…
