EXCLUSIVE: 1973 Cadillac Coupe Deville Needs To Go!

UPDATE 7/20/2019 – Yvonne has finally sent us more photos of this Cadillac! It looks to be in really nice shape, so give it a closer look. And if you’d love to have it you can make her an offer via the form below!

FROM 6/04/2019 – We’ve been helping Reader Yvonne B with selling her late son’s collection of cars. She really needs to get the last of the cars sold and has decided to remove her asking prices and allow interested parties to contact her with their best offers. For various reasons, she’s unable to get additional photos of the last few cars and has asked us to use the photos from when she had the cars appraised. The photos of her Coupe DeVille aren’t the best, but they show a classic that’s in decent condition. It’s currently sitting in a storage unit and needs to go, so be sure to contact her via the form below with your best offer.

What Makes It Special? This Cadillac is powered by a 472 ci V8 with the 4 barrel carb and features power brakes, seats, steering, windows, climate control, tilt wheel, and rear window defroster.

Body Condition: It has been garage kept and is straight.

Mechanical Condition: The engine and drivetrain are believed to be original to the car. It needs work but is serviceable.

It’s obviously not a lot of info to go off of, but it does look like a good find. If you are into land yachting, this one has some potential. She needs it gone, so make her an offer so that she can get it out of storage and you can get to cruising!

Green on green with more green!!! Nice looking car nevertheless!! Looks to be someone’s pride and joy that kept this one in such good shape especially being in the snow belt!! I know a couple of Cadillac guys!! I’ve never had one but they all speak highly of the 427 motor!!! If this could be bought with the right amount of green it would be a good ride!!!

My heart goes out to Yvonne concerning her son. I have always loved these GM HUGE land yachts! I just wish I could afford the gas for one of these. Always wanted one. I knew a few guys that had these same engines and swore by them. Virtually indestructive. These 472’s and the 500 CID’s. Step on the accelerator and you are gone!! Rode like a cloud. Sure wish I could help her.

My parents had a white ’73 that was my prom car. Nicest riding car I’ve ever driven. We drove it from Illinois to California and back one summer, and I believe every electrical gadget that could, went out on it… From the power seats to the power windows, to the antenna… But, YES I would love to own one today. :)

My brother had a bro ham caddy 4 dr long ago..500ci motor. You could put a family in the trunk. Talk about huge..it was big and heavy but would haul tail. Nothing like the sound of a 4 barrel carburetor at wot on a big block

I’m with you Patrick. No garage space and no cash are making me sit this one out. My in-laws owned a ’73 just like this one only blue with a white top and interior. Great car– even it took 4 of us to
lift a new tranny into place after the original unit took a crap. And yes, they had problems with the fusable link electrical system these cars had, but overall, it was a good car. Floated down
the road with power to spare. Good luck
with your sale Yyvonne, your son had good taste and it shouldn’t take you long
to sell what he’s left you. Just wish I could be one of the lucky buyers.

Price…Make an offer… Sorry I don’t negotiate with myself. Please state your price and we can negotiate from there. “My offer” would insult you. I never want to insult anyone.

My thoughts exactly. I mean not knowing anything about the car that’s the most I would do.

Had a ‘75 with a 500 for a brief time. She sure was fun. Hit the gas, wait a second while the carb inhaled all the surrounding air, and zoom. She’s a beauty for sure

Haggerty says 8100 bucks for good and 6000 bucks for fair.

    Nice car. If it runs.

Make an offer like it says 😁

When I was growing up, my Dad drove nothing but luxury land yachts, usually Cadillacs but a few big Buicks & one really loaded LTD (equipped like a Lincoln, even had a moon roof). The Cadillacs were his favorites!
One of his favorites was a 1971 Sedan DeVille, light green with a medium green roof & cloth interior.
My Dad had morals and ethics way different than mine, to say the least. He was a rough guy who ran in a rough crowd. At one point, he and his Doberman guard dog resided in the ’71 DeVille. That car was pretty rough when he sold it for money to pay his attorney lol. He sold it to a good friend of his, a guy he was in prison with a decade earlier. That guy was actually a decent guy, went on the straight & narrow after prison (not sure why he hung with my Dad lol). He restored the car to it’s original beauty & still owned it last time I saw him, about 2 years before Dad died.
