Plymouth and Model T Package Deal!

Antique Package

From David F – In case you’re running out of projects, here’s a chance to fill up your shop all at once for only $5300. This seller is offering two antique classics for one price. It doesn’t look like anyone’s touched this 1932 Plymouth yet. It looks pretty complete, but there’s no hint what the engine might be like. There are lots of possibilities here, from stock to a unique chopped and channeled hot rod. The suicide doors add an interesting touch. Anyway you go would mean a serious commitment of time and money unless you’re thinking of using it as a yard ornament. Then there’s the Model T. It is supposed to run and drive. It appears that most of the work has been done, but it’s no doubt more like the typical 80 percent done but at least 60 percent left to do. The bodywork appears to be complete, but what state is the roof in? The framing is there but the rest is an unknown. Parts are plentiful and fairly inexpensive and these are very simple cars. Completed, the Model T might be worth as much as $60,00. These are fun to drive, but not something you’d drive very often. This package deal is currently located in upstate New York for $5300 and can be found here on craigslist.

Both cars would be great to have. Definitely opposite ends of the spectrum as far as driving is concerned but they’d both be a lot of fun. The Plymouth is too complete to hot rod. Better off to restore it to original.

THAT Model T will never be worth $60K as a restored car. A T with a Town Car body or very very early brass T might but that one is too run of the mill. I doubt a concourse restoration would bring $30K. Sadly their enthusiast base is in steep decline.

Apologies, I have an “Old Cars Price Guide” I should have referenced. $56,000 is the highest price shown for a Model T, and that would be an early Torpedo Roadster, #1 condition. Town Cars are well below that.
