READER AD: 1925 Harley-Davidson Model J

Reader Clay C has decided it’s time to part ways with his 1925 Harley-Davidson Model J. It’s a beautiful bike that is in amazing condition. His father was the second owner and passed it on to him in 2014. As a matter of fact, he goes as far as stating that it is in mint condition! The V-Twin engine is said to run great and that it’s ready to ride. If you’ve been looking for a Model J that’s in great shape, you can find Clay’s bike in Boulder, Colorado with a $16,200 asking price and you can contact him via the link below.

Clay’s father went through the bike back in 1989. As you can see, it’s held up well. The engine is said to have no cracks or damaged fins. The transmission works well and the rims are in great shape. Mechanically, it’s ready to ride as is, but it could use a set of Harley graphics on the fuel tank to finish things out visually.

The Model J was introduced in 1915 and saw several revisions before being discontinued. By ’25, there were several versions of the J, including the JE, JDCB and both with a sidecar. Clay doesn’t state which this bike is. The primary difference between the JE and JD is the size of the engine, so it’s hard to tell visually. Either way, it’s a beautiful bike that should prove to be a fun bike. Be sure to take a closer look and you can contact him either via his classified ad or via the form below!
