There’s included documentation to prove the mileage and ownership history. So, if you’ve ever wanted to experience a like new T-Type, here’s your chance!

Location: Manheim, Pennsylvania
Mileage: 7,107
Title Status: Clean
VIN: 1G4GJ1172HP447991

Seller’s Description: All original 7,107 miles documented survivor Buick Regal T-Type Turbo. All original and excellent paint. Clean CarFax. Mechanically excellent down to the ice cold air. Original down to the tires with the only exception being the spark plug but the originals are included.

This 1987 Buick Regal T-Type reportedly remained with the original owner until 2003 and now shows just 7k miles. A turbocharged 3.8L V6 sends power to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission and optional limited-slip differential. The T-Type shares its drivetrain with the Grand National but omits the black paint, trim, and grey interior in favor of a color palette from the regular Buick lineup. This example is finished in dark blue over blue velour and is equipped with T-tops, a “Concert Sound” stereo system, cruise control, A/C, and factory 15″ alloy wheels. This T-Type was acquired by the selling dealer from the third owner in 2018, and it is now being offered with the original window sticker, sales invoice, manuals, a clean Carfax, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

This car is equipped with T-tops, and the Buick-logo T-top storage bags are pictured in the gallery. The car retains stock badging, including “3.8 SFI Turbo” on the power bulge and trunk lid. “T” logo badges are present on both front fenders.

Body Condition: The exterior is finished in Dark Blue Metallic (31) with a black grille, black headlight surrounds, and chrome bumpers. The 15″ cast aluminum wheels were not shared with the Grand National for 1987 and are still fitted with original tires on this example. Like the Grand National, Regal T-Type features a cowl-induction hood with a power bulge.

The cabin is trimmed in blue velour with matching carpets, and the 3-spoke wheel carries the “T” logo. The seller notes that the A/C is operational, and interior power features are said to work correctly.

The passenger side of the dash features a black insert with the Buick Regal name, and the car retains the stock “Concert Sound” stereo system, shifter handle, and instrumentation. The stock floor mats, a set of rubber floor mats, and the T-top bags are pictured in the trunk in the gallery.

The original window sticker has been laminated and is included, and a copy of the sales invoice showing the original option is attached in the gallery. Original MSRP was $18,344, and the invoice indicates that $15,116 was the sale price for the original owner.

Mechanical Condition: The turbocharged 3.8L V6 is shared with the Grand National and was factory-rated at 245 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The previous owner replaced the ignition coils, but the original coils are included. No performance modifications are noted, and the car retains the stock turbocharger heat shielding and Buick logo hood pad.

The Carfax begins reporting in 2000 when the car showed 5,675 miles, with regular updates through the present day. A 1990 service record shows 3,709 miles when the car was serviced at the dealer to address a brake switch recall. No accidents or other issues are indicated.

This is exactly the car that I wanted to buy back then. I wanted a more anti-GN color, like gold, though.

Decided to get a Dodge Omni GLH-T instead. Not a better car, but certainly just as much fun to drive.

Nice ride, very clean machine, but the color blows the sleeper image these T-Type’s had compared to the Darth Vader black GN’s. Nice to see one again not all tricked out for drag racing.

Interesting to go through the pictures and see that the original buyer only paid Invoice for the car. Love this car.

    Beautiful.
But why car builders didn’t paint everything under the car to avoid rust? Thinking about the links to the differential, the transmission tube for example.
Sorry for my english (french inside).
