Well, if the Camaro sighting that Scott M sent in wasn’t sad enough a sight, take a look at what Jimmy T just sent in! This 1970 Dodge Coronet Convertible hasn’t just been left out in the elements, it’s been left out with the top down. Jimmy spotted it in East Texas and decided he better stop and take a look. He too tried to find the owner but didn’t have any luck. He didn’t look to see what engine it has, but it’s most likely a 318 V8. The Coronet Convertible was offered with either the 500 or R/T trim in 1970. Chances are this is a 500 rather than the 440 equipped R/T. Either way, it’s quite sad to see it just out in the open like this.
We normally are against people putting tarps over their cars, as it traps the moisture in, but I think this one might actually be better offer at least having a tarp over it. With the top down like that, it won’t take very long for the floors to rust out, if they haven’t already. Between the brown paint and how far Jimmy was when he took these photos it’s hard to tell if the body is rusty. It definitely has some dents and dings, but it actually doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully, he will be able to go back and talk to the owner. Chances are they won’t let go of it, but you never know! reminds me of a former athlete who has let themselves deteriorate through lack of exercise and bad eating habits. you can see that they once were in good condition and had potential but you wonder if they will ever get back to a reasonable working out condition.

Money pit for sure. Not a mopar fan, worked on to many of these beasts back in the day. But for a mopar fan with deep pockets there might be potential.
