The seller characterizes this 1955 Buick Special hardtop as a “winter project.” Normally I would think it would take longer, but in this case the seller may be correct. With a running, freshly tuned engine, already rebuilt extra frame (suspension on both ends), replaced seat upholstery and a cleaned gas tank, some of the heavy lifting has already been completed. The body looks relatively solid although I’d want to replace the body filler on the sills with welded in patches or new sills alt0gether. The car even comes with a new set of brake components ready to install. Best of all, at this point it’s listed here on eBay for $500 with no reserve (although I’m sure it won’t stay there!). In case you want to look in person, the car is located in Romeoville, Illinois.

Paint it black and white; add lights and a whippy antenna and drive around shouting “what’s your 20, ten four?”
You could spend hours being Dan Mathews!!
put a 401 in it
Hot rod it….lower it w a slight rake…wide rollers, chrome reversed w baby moons, motor from ’65 Riv’/dual quads…I want it for Christmas….
There is just something about Buicks that pushes the “I like it” button. Completed, this will be a neat car and a great cruiser. Gotta think about this one. And that interior is big enough for two teenagers.
These big old boats the interior is big enough for 10 teenagers, and 5 little kids in the back window!!!! LOL
