In my recent foray into an Amish Country junkyard, there was an identical car to this 9-passenger ’72 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 here on eBay. Sadly, I didn’t get any photos, but I was impressed by the spacious accommodations and ample luxury packed into this quasi-limousine. And seeing the low price for this example – $2,995 – it almost seems silly not to buy it if for no other reason than to break out your leisure suit and head to the casino in style. Well, I suppose you’d need a driveway long enough to store it and impressive parallel parking skills if you ever venture into the city, but when you think about the price for a car like the 1970 Mercedes-Benz 600 we just featured (purported to be north of $80K), this appears to be a clear winner for living out any VIP fantasies you may have. It certainly makes me wonder who bought it brand-new off the showroom floor and whether it was ever used in support of a life of crime – the imagination runs wild with old Caddys like these. Does anyone else think this is a bargain buy, or is too much car to manage?

1972 Cadillac Fleetwood 75: Cheap Luxury

It doesn’t say how many bodies will fit in the trunk.
no trunk photos so it might be ” are ” not ” will fit “!
seller is taking offers. might make a nice driver. seal the paint, remove the padding from the roof and fix what issues you find, fix the A/C, and then drive. if you have to ship car it will get costly fast as car will take up more then 1 space. another low cost way into the hobby. nice find.
Seller states it has a 472″, a 1972 is a bit early for this engine, unless of course someone did a swap, otherwise a decent car and worth looking into if this is what floats yer boat.
OOOPPS, I am wrong, sorry, I thought the 472″ came about in 1975, so much for thinking. I will shut up now.
Craig, I think the 472 started in 68′. I know my mothers 68 coupe deville had one. I think the 500 started in 72 or 73.
Do those jump seats fold out from the floor?
Just make an offer they cannot refuse.
Ed, you talkin to me?
Bada bing bada boom.
The jumpseats fold up against the front seat backs
Thanks I see it now.
Here’s my question: who exactly SITS in those jump seats?
Jeff, the hit man.
Right. Should have known! Or perhaps the hit man’s “work” lies down there with their hands behind their backs!
Dastardly.
Looks like the mobster’s car in Magnum Force.
Just needs some BoC flags….
Maybe its Sheriff Bart and Jim, the Waco Kid, riding off into the sunset at the end of Blazing Saddles.
I wonder what would be cheaper, gassing her up and driving cross country or paying for the XL space shipping…?
Off to convince my wife that this Caddy is better than her minivan.
I dont think the Mob boys were wearing polyester leisure suits in 1972. That came later in that misbegotten decade That said I wish it had a division window to sparate me from the prole driving me about. On the other hand I once has a 1960 Cadillac divison window. I started a limo business as a lark. One too many pairs of high heels against the division window in my rear view mirror convincd me I was on the wrong side of the glass.
Just LOOK at it! Even in its’ current state, it is STILL an imposing car. It says “CADILLAC” in a way that the current alphabetic CTS/ATS/etc. just cannot match! :-)
Sold for $2995
The buyer got one hell of a deal. Happy motoring.
