The seller of this 1970 muscle car could stand to take a photography class, but they make it clear that this car needs to be sold very quickly. It’s located in St. Louis, Missouri and is offered here on craigslist for $3,800 obo. Thanks to Barn Finds reader Robert R for the find! As discussed many times on this site, 4-door models just don’t carry the cache of 2-doors, despite being more practical. But this Chevelle, with a long list of new components and even pictures in the ad before it was painted, has a lot to offer prospective buyers. The owner’s business is taking off and he doesn’t have the time to spend on the car at the moment. It needs interior work and a windshield, but apparently little else. I prefer the fastback look of the 2-door models, and would probably pass on this car for that reason alone. Any sedan lovers out there?

1972 Chevelle: Fast Looking 4-Door

24 Pictures… all of them bad. I like the color… after that… Yawn!
It says true dual exhaust but i only see one tail pipe.
Crazy Time pictures. It’s as if he’s hiding something ! and 4 -DOORS !! The picture gallery is definitely from a drunken photo shoot.
Gotta wonder about a seller who’s too lazy or indifferent to clear all that loose shit out of the interior before taking (bad) photos. It wouldn’t have taken more than five minutes to make it look like a ratty Chevelle interior rather than the dumpster at a local MacDonalds…
Great price, but 2 doors too many!
Have to agree about the pics…my wife is the worst photographer I know but even she would get 4-5 decent pics out of two dozen! Unless the seller is hiding something, I’d put some rallye wheels and the wide white SS stripes on it and call it a day, saving the SBC speed mods for when I had more time and $$…
If the car is solid and mechanically sound it could make a decent driver.
Jamie, you call this a Muscle car. Chevelles certainly can be, but the wagons and four door sedans aren’t, really. Ya, terrible pics once again. Priced decently, though.
yeah, 2 doors are cool but for a family 4 doors are quite a bit more practical. A “hot” 4 door sedan, better yet a wagon would be much easier to get past my wife than a 2 door. My wife looked upon my Alfa Spiders as toys, but was ok with the Berlinas in my life as she viewed them practical tranortation. It also helped that the Berlina is a better handling car than the Spider but that was an added benefit.
The U.S. sedans from the muscle era are significantly cheaper than their 2 door siblings but can be souped up almost the same. The ad is already down so perhaps there’s at least one more person out there that shares my point of view
