This is what’s left over after you weld a few stabilizing bars into a C4 Corvette chassis and add two bucket seats! Jim S. sent this in, and it’s for sale here on eBay where bidding is at $1,000 and there’s no reserve. The potentially troublesome cross-fire injection has been replaced with a manifold and four-barrel for simplicity, and the fuel tank is now a fuel cell.
I’m just going to leave this here: the wheelbase of a C4 Corvette is 96.2 inches, and the wheelbase of my unbelievably underpowered Austin Marina race car is 96.0″. Hmmmm.
What would you do with this raw material? Tell us in the comments!
Put a marina body on it
My wife says no. I’m sad now.
I like the part in the ad “could easily pass as street-legal!!”
in some country with ‘stan’ in it’s spelling
Put on a pair of fighter pilot goggles and hoon it ’til the wheels fall off.
Make it up like an Arieal Atom……….
make an Aston Martin DBR1 body and drive it like you stole it.
Also 96″ wheelbase…….. AMC Gremlin! Hmmmmmm lol
I like Gremlins–we passed a Gremlin (fur-covered!) to take second in class at our last LeMons race 😀
Get some Naugahyde and you would have a Velorex C4!
“Could easily pass as street legal!!”
BWWWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Put a complete roll cage on it and use it like the one one Roadkill.

The guys on Roadkill already built one of these.
A rudimentary, post war style, tube body with cycle fenders. Sort of a Kurtis 500S homage.
Easy peasy
Opel Manta Rallye – 95.7″
71 Plymouth duster body should fit I have two good ones
Auto cross it as is.
Place the Nascar body, you bought the otherday, on this. 🚜
Add a late model Corvair body and pretend it is a V8 Vair
VW Beetle body, maybe extend the front dog house, ultimate sleeper. They also make a couple C4 frames that match a 55-57 Chevy body for the ultimate shoe box auto crosser. No wait, a Super 7 style body wrapped around what’s there, now you’re talking!
Paddle tires… Sand Dune Car!
“potentially troublesome crossfire injection”
cracks me up…
Looks like it may be the castoff from Car & Driver’s experiment on how removing weight improved lap times. That was a few years ago…
Least they could have was put the rims on the right direction. The side picture, rear is correct, front is wrong
Pleas do complete the car, for heavens sake. But any body and skin on this nude chassis, please.
make a body for it like the Cambell Kurtiss Alligator or the Max Belchowski Ol’Yeller
Put a Cimbria SS body on there! :)
