If you check our Classifieds frequently, you’ve probably noticed several dusty finds listed. While looking them over, I noticed that they are all being auctioned off by i15 Auctions. I also noticed that the auctions are all set to end in a day (the 17th) and that many of the cars only have a few bids. With current bids, there are some great deals here! Sadly, there isn’t much information about the barn that these cars came out of, but it was clearly a large collection and that they were parked there for a number of years. You can see the auction catalog and even bid online here on ProxiBid.
There’s really a wide range of cars here. There’s ’50s station wagons, a ’60s mail delivery vehicle, ’70s land yachts and just about everything in between. Many appear to be big projects, but there are a few that might prove to be fairly simple. I wouldn’t mind having a few of these cars, especially the Camaro Iroc-Z and the Westcoaster Mail Vehicle. So which of these cars would you like to have?

I love those New Yorkers. An absolute land yacht. It looks like it’s all/mostly there. Someone needs to save it.
It must be quite a story on how someone collects so many cars, yet they they just sat The Vega GT looked as if an animal lived inside of it and tried eat it’s way out.
If I had the space, the ol’ US Mail van would be of interest, although a Cushman Mailster would be my #1 choice.
I grew up driving driving an identical (with postal colors) Westcoaster mail van named “Half Pint” around my parents property. Powered by Onan!
The Cortina is the only one that I see worth looking at. Why collect and hold all this 4 door junk?
That would be quite a find here in the uk, worth a bit as its only the 2 door version.
Gimme the window less Vega….please. The ’55 wagon has the wrong front seat and is a slushbox……how much would a completely restored Bel Air 4 door wagon bring today?
I love ’59 Edsels, and the ’59 Villager wagon here looks reasonably complete and solid.
If only the interior wasn’t so trashed…if only I had the time, money, garage space, and ambition…
Some of these other hulks, such as the ’75 Granada, should’ve been sent to the crusher.
S22 Comet for me if I was in the market.
The ’55 Chevy wagon is probably the best of the lot and should bring good money. The Studebaker truck looks like it should do well along with a few others. Quite a few cars will probably be crushed; too far gone or too boring. Not a lot of info on any of these cars though the pictures are decent. At least the VINs are included which should give more details. Might be a few interesting big block engines in some of the big wagons and sedans from the ’60s. Still, unless you can actually go and check these cars out, you’re really taking a chance on one of these cars; that will probably keep bids on the low side.
The late ’60s Ford Cortina is an interesting little car, rare on this side of the pond with being left hand drive a big plus. My father had one, a company car, and I remember he really liked it. These cars were hot performers with the Lotus twin-cam engines; rally winners and they did very well in saloon racing. This Cortina looks like it could be brought back and if you could source the right engine you’d have a pretty cool and unusual car.
Wagons are on the come back and prices are going up. The first page most of them are saveable and can be reasonably had. The second page as seen $75. bidding means a local scrap guy is going to make some good money.
Sadly, here’s the thing…..so many times “fools” wouldn’t take a dime for something that wasn’t worth a nickel, until it’s not worth a penny!
All of them look restorable and worth more than scrap money. The cortina caught my eye as well, only because that’s where my automotive interests lean. At the moment it’s still virtually free.
OK, maybe not all are better than scrap; I hadn’t looked at Page 2 before I said that. 😆😆
Well done Fordguy1972. I also would have the Chevrolet, and not many more since the aftermarkets start to narrow considerably. I want to say about auctions that I don’t participate. I fI really saw something at auction I really wanted i would simply call the seller and ask what he/she/they want for it and make the decision that way. Otherwise I think auctions benefit the seller when things start to heat up and i don’t pay premiums for other people’s emotions. I buy cars.
at this point in time, auction closing is a couple of hours away I spotted at least 5 cop/ gov’t cars Diplomat /Fury parts are interchangeable If I were younger and had more $$ there are at least a dozen I would jump on .. but.. maybe my mind would be changed upon arrival.. most seem to have at least good body parts some have engines, but, are the engines saveable? most have the glass broken out of them .. IDK about replacement glass and how expen$ive it can be to replace.. not new.. out of a salvage yard? most of the interiors are toast but bringing any of them back, even w/o paint work would be an oddity here in the North east a sun baked Diplomat that is decent running.. pull into a cruise in with a work in progress ( whether or not it is true) written on the w/ s would draw attention
That was a good deal on the 41 Chevy. But a lot of these cars look like they were in bad shape when parked. So sad.
The white falcon waggy U have a pic of I saw several days ago. It’s gone from the yard for $1,100. May not B too bad as that’s desert out there…
U could C the i6 in there (144?, 170?, 200?). The 200/3.3 can B pepped up to a top runner (was in the stang).
Was the mail veh. a 3 wheeler? Yellow right?
