Seller’s Description: TRUE BARN FIND, we literally dragged this one out of the barn ourselves. Sad story behind this car. An older gentleman owned it and did a light restoration many years ago. It went into the barn in 1985 (last registered in 1985 as well). The older gentleman recently passed away and his family could not afford the funeral cost so they called me and asked if I would buy the car to cover the expenses. It is not really our wheelhouse but I bought it to help them out. I replaced every wire on the car with period-looking harnesses and got the buzz boxes working again. The carburetor was cleaned as was the gas tank. I patched the tubes in the tires but it really could use tires as these are dry rotted. I got the car running and driving and the engine brake stops it nicely. The top frame is there but one of the boughs is broken. There is no top on the frame, the top frame was wrapped in vinyl material when I got it so I put it back on. It does leak a little oil and maybe antifreeze too. It has the original wood spoke wheels. The headlamps and rear tail lampwork properly. It does have the original crank handle as well as an electric starter which was how they came in 1924. It runs on both magneto and electric coils sides. The seats definitely need to be redone and the boards are missing from the floor in the back. This will make a good, relatively easy restoration project and would be an awesome parade car when complete. We specialize in ’50s and ’60s cars so it is out of place in our inventory, just trying to get my investment back.
