This exciting “barn find” Phantom II Sedanca De Ville has been hidden for well over the 25 years. 287 AJS is very strong original car, still retaining its original coachwork. Many decades ago, that was parked one day and simply remained untouched since. This is just 1 of the 125 Phantom II’s building in England for the U.S. market.

Perhaps most impressive, is the bonnet which extends the full length of the nose of the automobile. This bonnet fully extends over the cowl, creating a very unique long flowing line right to the windscreen. The engine turns freely by hand, and a valuable pressure tested head is included in the sale. All mechanical components are untouched and correctly in place as they came arrived from the factory.

The Brewster body provides the option for open air motoring for the front occupants, with the top stowing neatly in its built in chamber. The drivers compartment remains original, with the exception of one re-covered seat cushion. The original key also is included.

The detail in the rear of 287 AJS is simply exquisite, and unlike any other prewar Rolls-Royce that we have ever seen. While all of the hardware in the rear compartment is done in this gorgeous enamel, even more impressive is the enameled rear intercom and even intercom button. The rear quarter windows open for ventilation, while they original shades remain in excellent condition. The original interior remains in very good condition, and will improve further with a careful cleaning.
