BF Classified: 1939 Thorne Hot Rod? Road Racer? Definitely Rare!

Asking Price: $5,000
Location: Hustisford, Wisconsin
Title Status: Missing

Seller’s Description: Very odd vehicle… It appears to be based on a ’39 Ford (possibly newer) frame with hydraulic brakes and side cover 1947 transmission. It also has a ’50 Mercury front end, knuckle dragger door cutouts, lead work, Bondo, and fiberglass. MG windshield? The engine is parts only.

So ugly it is cute! Now for the really interesting part… on the front end above the grill is the name THORNE! Could this be from Joel Thorne the race car driver? Or Kurtis Thorne?? Rough work on the car but a lot of what you typically see on customs of this vintage! This could be a part of history! Terrible welding… but typical in the early days. Has Plymouth 1933 convertible title?? The shifter does not come with the car… sorry… unless the price is right… I have a use for it, so I’d like to keep it. Picture this thing as a vintage race car! That’s what I know!
