Seller’s Description: 1947 Chevrolet 1 ton Pickup, 3800, from Sask, Canada. Dry, salt-free western Canada. Model in Canada shows on plate at 1434.
The truck has about 40,500 original miles. The engine froze due to water in block back in 1971. The truck has not run since 1971.
Floors not rusted through. They have surface rust. Battery door in place like it should be.
GLASS NOT CRACKED.
The truck still has original chalk factory markings under the hood from the assembly line. Also has what appears to be ORIGINAL FACTORY paper hang tag-see pictures.
Nothing has been butchered here. The engine is the 216 six with the air cleaner, etc., all where it should be.
NEVER driven in MINN. Zero exposure to salt roads here.
Includes NEVER USED ORIGINAL TAILGATE.
Dash is also unmolested. Radio plate is still intact in the dash. No cutting, no extra holes, etc.
The truck features a dumping bed-common on farms back then, for hauling grain.
Has the original rims, etc., etc.
A true BARN FIND.
HAS NO TITLE. Trucks in Canada back then did not have them.
Has solid cab corners- no rust, and solid door bottoms- 2 problem areas for these.
A great restoration project. Some dents in the body and some creases. Wood in bed needs replacing.
