Seller’s Description: 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak – Eight. A family member purchased this car and has since passed away.
The car was running when parked in the garage 3 years ago. Gas was removed from the tank. It has most of the original parts, from what I can tell. It is still using the 6 volt electrical system – has not been converted to 12 volt. Transmission is manual – 3 on the tree. Someone painted it before my family had it. I have no idea if the odometer is accurate. Some of the metal was replaced in the right rear trunk where the spare tire would sit. This would be great for someone with just a little bit of time to get it running. I don’t think it will take much. I don’t have time to mess with it. There is not much rust on the car. The underneath is in decent shape – no rust on the doors either. I have a ton of pictures so if would would like to see more please ask.
