Seller’s Description: 1951 Kaiser Deluxe 2 Door Sedan

This Deluxe 2 door is just one of only 8800 made, out of over 135,000 Kaisers in total produced that year.

It is believed that this is a three owner car, purchased new in Iowa and then she went into a collection in Oregon where she was restored but with a little custom touch to the interior.

She was repainted and kept in her original color, Satin Blue, and had her engine rebuilt, the interior reupholstered, with some custom stitching on the padded dash.

The odometer shows 64,068 miles and that is believed to be correct.

The car is in awesome condition with no rot and minimal surface corrosion on the undercarriage/suspension bits. There are some minor stone chips on the nose that have been touched up.

She fires right up and just purrs, super smooth 226 Inline flathead 6 cylinder pumping out about 115 HP. That is funneled out through a 2 speed automatic transmission. 4 drum brakes bring her to a halt and the Goodyear Weatherhandler tires are in great shape, hardly any tread wear, they are sized 235 /75R15.

The grey cloth interior is in very good condition and rather comfortable. All the windows work correctly, including the “poor mans AC” vent windows, with 2 up front and two in the rear, air will really flow through the interior.

This Kaiser was also designed by Dutch Darrin (famous for the Kaiser Darrin) and his influence can definitely be seen. This is a 51 that looks like what the big three didn’t produce until the end of the 50’s. Beautiful lines that really beg for a V8, but alas, Kaiser’s deal with Oldsmobile to source Rocket 88 V8’s fell through due to the Korean war manufacturing needs pulling resources away.

Overall this car is totally turn key and ready to go. She starts right up, idles smoothly, drives like new, turns and stops just as she should.

This is an awesome entry level car to get someone, a family, into the collector car world.

She’s in great condition, parts are actually relatively easy to source, they’re reliable cars and you will NOT see another Kaiser Deluxe 2 door roll into any of your local cruise nights or car shows.

The admission to this fun ride is just $13,500
