Seller’s Description: WOW is a great word for this neat old Survivor. 1951 Kaiser Deluxe 2 door sedan. If you are wondering who makes it…it was made by Kaiser, and Kaiser was in business in the USA from 1945-1953. There are honestly not many running, driving good condition Kaiser’s left. This one has had only 3 owners and currently shows 46,748 miles. These miles are reported to be original but I do not have documentation on that so you be the judge. This car still has its original flathead 6 cylinder engine and still has a 6-volt POSITIVE GROUND electrical system. The brakes have been completely redone with a new master cylinder, hoses, wheel cylinders, lines, and emergency brake cables. All of the brake system works perfectly including the emergency brake. The last owner added a small access panel in the driver floor to fill the master cylinder (under the floor on this model) and upgraded it to DOT 5 brake fluid because it does not absorb moisture. There is a minor spot of rust on the rear of the car (pictured) and there have been a couple of small patches (6 -8 inches) riveted in the floor to cover some small holes. The damage was not worth replacing the entire floor pans. The entire frame is in excellent condition with no flaking or deterioration from rust. The driver-side window is cracked but the rest of the glass is in excellent condition. The seats wear their original upholstery which is in remarkably good condition. The carpet has been replaced and the last owner upgraded and added seat belts as well. The trunk is ROCK SOLID including the spare tire well. the wipers are vacuum controlled and the vacuum module has been rebuilt, the wipers are not currently installed as it needs new blades and we had to order them. This car starts and runs every time and it runs like a top. The clutch is in excellent condition and the car shifts smoothly. This car runs down the road straight and smooth. The chrome and other brightwork are in excellent condition and shines nicely. All the lights, brake lights, and turn signals work as they should and even the horn works. This car still has its original Kaiser hubcaps. The paint is Dove Grey and an amateur job, it is a 5 footer but up close there are flaws the most noticeable being a spot where the paint peeled from the front fender (also pictured). If you are looking for a perfect car…keep looking, but if you are looking for a wonderful old classic for Sunday drives with the family or local car shows THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU. When you drive it people will definitely ask “what is that?”, and when you tell them it’s a Kaiser they will often repeat “what is that?” It is a really neat old car and they only made them in the USA for a few years, a cool ride from a bygone era. We do our very best to describe our classic cars as detailed and honestly as possible because we do not want our customers to have any surprises. Please ask any questions
