Seller’s Description: This 1957 Motobecane Mobylette was restored in France about a decade ago and brought it over from Germany five years ago. I have the import and customs and DOT paperwork. It runs excellent and rides well. It is a variator model which is a CVT transmission paired with a centrifugal clutch. Much of the bike’s originality is intact. There are a few paint blemishes, most notably under the fuel petcock which I have replaced a few times and the bike will come with an extra petcock. Inside the fuel tank is in excellent condition. The material on the back of the seat is somewhat damaged from people picking up the bike incorrectly, there is a handle under the seat that should be used. The variator engine pivot bushings have been recently replaced and the bike will come with a special tool for this job. The tires are fresh. With many of these bikes made over the years, the main mechanical components are available. The engine is a 49cc two-stroke which needs an oil gas mix.
