Seller’s Description: I bought this from Maryland, USA last year after viewing one at Pomona last June. I love the look of them. This one had been in an airplane hanger since 2013, the fella I bought it off had done very little to it in the 6 years he owned it. I actually found an old ad for it when the previous to last owner had it for sale in the USA with a picture of it needing lots of work. Anyhow, I exported it and set about getting all the grey primer off. It was taken down to the bare metal for a proper restoration. All wings off, glass out and 3 coats primer rubbed down with 2 layers of top coat and a few coats of lacquer, resulting in a very nice roadworthy MGA again. I think the original colour was burgundy, but the body shop advised this Old English white. It has had lots of suspension work done, new ball joints track rod ends, everything cleaned and greased up. All 5 wheels were shot-blasted and powder-coated in silver to compliment the boot rack, new carpets, new headliner, leather seat covers replaced, dash recovered, the engine and gearbox are in good condition, no popping out of gear. It’s not one of the fastest cars but a real pleasure to drive (if I could keep it, I would). The reason I am selling is I had a knee replacement and I struggle to get in and out so I thought it would be nice to let it go back to the USA, to enjoy in the warm sunny climate, I will assist in shipping or assist with loading, these cars are going for good money in the summertime, but I badly need either an RHD car or VW bus, open to suggestions. All receipts kept and included. I am after £16.500, you won’t find another this cheap without rust anywhere that is already done. It has even just been fitted with a new stainless exhaust, sounds awesome!
