This is your do-it-yourself Vette. The body is in outstanding condition, never hit, bright and shiny red, no structural issues. The interior needs a workover, and some of the interior trim should be replaced. Original seat frames were toast so car has replacement seat frames ready for upholstery. The car has been disassembled in preparation for conversion to a restomod. The body is still on the original 1962 frame, but the car comes with a rolling chassis set up with independent front suspension, coilovers, articulated rear suspension with 9 inch Ford rear end, and Foose rims for a restomod conversion, which includes a late model 6.2 liter LS3 engine.
This project was started a couple years ago, and due to some personal circumstances became too much to deal with. The photos show the running, driving car before disassembly. The work was halted before any reassembly took place. It is being sold just as it is – in pieces – but all of the parts except original engine and transmission are there, plus a lot more.
The price is rock solid firm at $50,000. Total cost involved in the project so far exceeds that amount, and the next owner will have to do the work to turn it into a $150,000 restomod.
