Seller’s Description: I bought this car in early 80’s and soon started a rebuild. Various moves and years later I no longer have any patience, so it is now for sale. Car came with an older 1500 engine instead of the correct 1622. Is set up with a long block 1800 and MGB all synchro transmission. Long block professionally rebuilit at 0.20 over on crank and rods in the 80’s. SU’s were also rebuilt by me. Frame rust has been repaired including a new trans cross member for the MGB trans. Frame blasted epoxy primed and a ceramic satin coat applied. A & B pillars were rotten as well as the sills. New A&B pillar/will assembly comes with car as well as numerous panels for obvious rust issues. $2800 in new parts either installed or waiting for you. Fenders in good shape with a couple of patch panels. Removing paint I discovered that the front had been hit and repaired with the bondo still in surprisingly good shape. I have all the parts except windscreen glass. Stored in my HVAC conditioned workshop. Hagarty says a car in fair shape is worth $9300. Save yourself the time, effort, and money on new parts by starting this project in the middle.
