ZERO Bondo/Body Filler Anywhere that I can see.

This truck is by far the cleanest truck that’s relatively untouched (except re-spray) I have seen. The cab corners, drip rails, A pillars, hood, bedsides, rear pinch panel, floor pans, and rockers are phenomenally clean compared to just about any other truck. The shape of the original bed wood says it all…

Purchased off Craigslist to restore, dragged it out of a barn, and detailed it. Nothing else was done other than replacing some old parts to make it a driver for its new owner. New parts as follows;
Tires
Air FIlter
Oil
Oil Filter
Carb Rebuilt
Fuel Tank
Fuel Line
Fuel Pickup & Sender
Master Cylinder
Wheel Cylinders
Brake Hardware
Spark Plugs

I am technically the third owner but I have not signed the title yet, so you’ll be the third owner in 55 years.

61,250 original miles I can tell it hasn’t rolled over because the pedal covers are not worn out and the original floor vinyl and insulation are immaculate.

I have all the original parts I replaced in case you wanted to restore those, I do not have the original wheels and it has been re-sprayed obviously. Even comes with the original spare that’s unused. The cardboard that “insulated” the fuel tank behind the seat is even original and included… If that has survived, that in itself is a testament to how well this truck was cared for. Appears to have been stored under cover at a minimum for most of its life.

This is a GREAT candidate for factory restoration as a highly optioned truck, really the only thing that is missing is A/C. You’ll save thousands in bodywork or body panels to replace what’s usually completely rotten. I have included lots of photos of the typical rust spots so you can see how good of shape it is in. Other trucks out there that do not show you close-ups or behind the panels in these areas is hiding something…. RUST! In the areas where you normally see Bondo slapped on, you can still see the original spot welds which show no plastic in those areas. The re-spray was poor, lots of runs in areas that look like Bondo but are not, like up under the drip rail areas. Even the leading edge of the hood, where the pinch welds are is clean with none of the normal issues and no rusting out of the bottom part of the hood.

The drivetrain is in surprisingly good shape, with good compressions on all cylinders (on a cold engine) for 1-8 in order: 158, 154, 162, 156, 161, 160, 154, 150 in PSI. The clutch feels smooth, shift linkage being 3 on the tree feels excellent. Brakes will need to re-bed into the drums but feel great for the age. The power steering system doesn’t seem to work at full power, someone may have de-tuned the pump output. The previous owner was obsessive about maintenance as you can see a few lifetimes worth of grease around each grease fitting so it seems the truck was really well taken care of.

Will ship/deliver at buyers expense. Contact for options, I have a truck and trailer and would deliver nationwide. OR Buyer arranges pickup. Payment is due BEFORE pickup/delivery. Checks and money order need to clear. Sold As-Is with no warranty or guarantees. Pictures and video reflect the actual condition of the vehicle.
