Rare 1967 Scout 800 Sport Top / soft top (see line setting ticket). This Scout was originally from California and is now garaged in Massachusetts.
This Scout just underwent a mechanical restoration, completed by Super Scout Specialists, Enon Ohio.
The work consisted of a 2 1/2 inch lift with all new leaf springs and shocks. New fuel tanks( 2 -10 gal.)were installed as well as all new fuel lines. The floor tank selector switch on the floor was eliminated and a new selector switch was installed on the dash.The carburetor was also rebuilt. Also, all new brakes (front/rear) were installed as well as all new brake lines and new master cylinder. The parking braked cable was also replaced with new. A new clutch assembly was also installed. The front axel was replaced and a new pinion seal installed. A new exhaust system was also installed. A Show Bar ( roll bar) was installed. The cooling system was drained/ cleaned and all new hoses installed. A new battery was installed and well as a new hold down bracket. A tune was also done with all new plugs and wires.
The body of the Scout is in great shape. It’s an older paint job (not quality) with the original paint color visible in the engine bay (pale yellow). It has a couple of spots on the passenger side that that need repaired, but overall this Scout is solid and in great shape.
This Scout is a blast to drive. Gets thumbs up all the time. The motor is the 4 cylinder (152) and 3-speed manual transmission with the twin stick 4 wheel drive. The original hard top is no longer withe the Scout. It has a Soft-Topper brand top that is removable. Recent appraisal of 25k. Listing it for 21k or best offer.
