Seller’s Description: This 2 door hardtop has no doorposts. An ’S’ with deluxe bright trim inside and out, born in Fremont, California with a 2-barreled 350 and manual 3-speed, center console, and 3.08 rear gear. Black on black color coded, it was resprayed black well over 20 years ago. When I got it in 2004, I replaced some bondo and rust from the bottom fender areas, floor pan, trunk and quarter panels with sheet metal, then I worked on the suspension and brakes. Installed a 12:1 ratio power steering with filter, tubular A-arms and 1/2 inch drop springs. I continued with front disc brakes, boxed rear control arms, aluminum diff cover, sway bar in rear and heavier 1-1/8 bar up front, Bilstein shocks, 17×8 steel wheels, long studs, and lug nuts. Work done in last few years: engine rebuilt as a Ram Rod W-31 (took a 1969 casting, identical to 1968, to Vellios of Lawndale. The block was bored .030 over, forged flat top pistons, 2.02/1.6 valves, 308 duration w31 cam from Lunati). Topped with Edelbrock Performer intake, Rochester 750 carb, larger harmonic balancer, HEI distributor, Hooker full-length headers to FlowMaster 2-1/4 exhaust. The original coolant tanks, which have no trans cooler fittings, were brass and copper welded to a four-row core, Powermaster Mini Starter. In the last 6 months: put in door panels, window felts, weather seals, sail panels, headliner, and reupholstered seats.
