Seller’s Description: True Barn Find: Off the Road for over 13 years. Up for sale is my very rare 1969 Mustang convertible S code (matching stamped Vin 390 engine verified). Only 252 mustang convertibles were made with the 390 engine and 146 with an automatic transmission, this is a 1 of 1 with the options listed per Marti Report (see attached at end of pics)
Originally meadowlark yellow paint with black power top and back glass, black interior, power steering, power disc brakes, a/c, AM/8-track tape stereo, 390, c6 transmission.
The engine was rebuilt over 14 years ago but has only a couple thousand miles on it. It ran and drove when I got her about 13 years ago. I only drove it up and down the street a few times and in and out of the garage to move other cars around. I started to strip her down to restore 3 years ago and that is where she is now. The car will need a full one-piece Floorplan replacement or 2 side pans, but the frame rails, torque boxes, and trunk floor are all good. I have approximately 90-95% of the Mustang here. Not pictured but I have are the radiator, front grille, front and back valances, and bumpers, headlights and taillights, dash, gauges, glove box, dash pad (rip in speaker area), carburetor, driveshaft, two sets of rims (old school craigers and chrome slotted 69 rims), reupholstered front and back seat, A/C condenser and rear interior quarter panels. (What is needed is a one piece floor pan, carpet, door panels, vinyl material top, trim piping, paint, and probably a few other small items like new fender bolts, etc. I purchased this diamond in the rough from the original owner. Where else can you find a very rare big-block convertible? The last year for the 390 Mustang Convertible with a limited number made. The last picture of the meadowlark yellow car is what the car should look like when restored. Car is currently undergoing a restoration so purchase before restoration is finished or pay the $90k when restoration is done.
I’m located on the Oregon coast.
