Seller’s Description: SOLD 1969 GTO Project. I bought this car 18 years ago after pulling it out of a barn. I put it in my garage and after I pulled the hood, fenders, bumper, I moved on to another real estate endeavour. In spite of my garage being heated, it has it’s rust issues. The front floor boards have holes where the panel meet. rear floor boards are fine as are the floor supports. Bottom of the fenders need patch panels and it would be easier to replace the full quarters. Trunk floor is weak close to the rear wheels. That said is a bit discouraging, but I thought this car with the Hide a way head lights could make for a great looking car. The 455 was rebuilt before I got it, I did check that it has the compression it should and that it was even across all cylinders. Ram Air heads #48, will be a great combination to make this car gooooo. The 4 speed I sent out to be rebuilt be an renowned expert in the area, replaced the linkage and shifter to make sure it was correct for this car. Can’t be that difficult of restoration for the guy or gal who puts their mind and skills to work. It’s best to spend your time and money on something that will be worth your efforts.
